True, he still availed himself of the fabled favors of the ravishing Lady Eleanor Rushton, who certainly never let her marriage vows interfere with her pleasures.

But surely Margarita should be able to see that as his wife she still possessed the best part of him, and be satisfied with the bargain.

Unfortunately, Margarita had so very much to learn about the ways of the world – and even more to teach the imperious Earl about the secrets of the heart …

THE AMERICAN EARL (new Regency published 11/2014)
At its heart, The American Earl is the story of two proud, intelligent, loyal people who find they have much more in common than the cultural heritage and national traditions that separate them. To borrow Evan’s words about the Turner painting, this book is wonderful and something you will never tire of looking at. Heroes and Heartbreakers

THE AMERICAN DUCHESS If you are looking for a good character-driven romance, I urge you to find and read The American Duchess. Likesbooks.com

Another Winner
By Miz Waller
I loved the unusual, for a Regency, heroine. we don't usually see a heroine who is from South America or one who has no experience in the Ton. we also don't usually see a heroine who has such a a tragic life. I liked the fact that she doesn't immediately become happy because she gets thrown into a luxurious situation. Margarita was so appealing that I didn't pay too much attention to the hero. There were so many strong women in this story that the men weren't that important. Ms Wolf is publishing again and I am thrilled. Can't wait to read all he new titles.

strong and unique characterization, backgrounds for a powerful romance
By June
I read this 20 years ago and read it again with the same absorption. A forced marriage and the growth of love between an emotionally defensive male and a young survivor of a a war which killed her whole family.

Great story
By C. A.
I loved this years ago and found on rereading that I still do. A different heroine, wounded but with amazing strength of character in the face of a sometimes thick-headed hero who needed to learn that live can heal. A great read.
